Rollforming is the manufacture of a steel section initially in coils. The shaping of the profile is done in successive steps. The steel is unwound and driven between the upper and lower rollers of the successive forming stations, until the requested section is obtained. Perforation units offer the possibility of making holes and cuts, and the profile is cut to the desired length.

The integration of these online operations means an advantage in production cost.

By its nature, rollforming is a process that allows constant tolerances for both heavy and thin steels. The formed sections are economically made from an almost unlimited range of steel: hot-rolled steel (HR), cold-rolled steel (CR), pre-galvanized, aluminum, stainless steel, prepainted and inconel grades 33 to 85.
